This video is a reflection on some work I did a few months ago when first starting this project. I'm developing a new video that will likely be a shorter video briefly discussing the work I've completed over the course of this semester.

This video explores the games women play the most and why women tend to prefer certain games over others. The findings of the research I did are not what I would have expected, considering I personally don't care for most mobile games, and collection often bores me. But according to surveys of thousands of people, the women of those surveys tend to enjoy Match 3 and Simulation games more than anything else, by a lot. Casual games, to me, are not much different than Match 3 games, since most are found on mobile phones and devices and are intended for the same purpose. They are major stress relievers, giving their players a fleeting sense of control, in order to get them to keep playing. As a women I am pleased to find that simulation games are interesting to other women, since they hold a special place in my heart as an avid The Sims player myself. At this stage, I am favoring a short rewarding puzzle game format, since this is the easiest way to integrate computer science concepts into a game, and since at this point I am not an experienced game developer. I like the story concept that I came up with as well. Since I am a self-proclaimed eco-warrior I think the message behind the story is important, and I'm excited to share it. In many ways this game knocks out two birds with one stone.
